Yeah, mine has the place for the 22 short adapter. I don't have the adapter. Something else I didn't know I was missing to hunt for.
I wouldn't mind some day getting another magazine, see them from time to time but they are pricey little buggers.

That 44US looks nice Greg. I think these are real sleepers. Folks don't realize how nice they are.
Haven't seen any lately at our gun shows but for awhile we saw them pretty regular.
My son got a commercial version at the show a year or so after I got mine.

In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
    Cue sound of Head slap.

    RIP Muggsy & TMan

Light dumps of Unique or Trail Boss and something in 300-405gr cast bullets, make this a fun, accurate "plinker"

Thanks Boss. These folks sell repro mags (with the adapter screw) https://www.havlinsales.com/22rifle.htm (towards the bottom of the page).

That's where I saw the sling swivels $42 + shipping. What amazes me is that they used plastic back then. The safety indicators and trigger guard are all plastic.

Here's one I used to keep in the Jeep; an American Arms PK22. Pretty inexpensive, but it's been reliable. DA/SA, but the DA requires Superman level finger strength.

Baby brother to your PK22 is this mini PPK look alike American Arms PX22. Same gun as the I.J. TP22.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I've long thought the Mannlicher stocked Ruger 10/22 was one of the most attractive plinkers made. Only the stainless one is more beauteous IMHO.

Went looking for a photo of my Browning BL22 that I bought for my grandson but can't find it. Use your imagination.

I have one of the early Mannlichers in 44mag. I've often wanted to get a 22 Mannlicher to make it a pair.
Another very lucky find for me. A good buddy who is a hunter but not really a gun guy used to go shoot trap with me every weekend years ago.
He had a secret hiding spot in his garage where he kept his guns.
We were fixing to go shooting and he was handing stuff out to get at something else and this Mannlicher came out. I asked him what it was and where he got it. Guess he'd just gotten it from a lady that didn't want it around anymore. Said he paid 75 bucks for it.
Without thought I offered to double his money. He said sure. I instantly worried that I'd made my usual goof. But after shooting I rushed home to check the book and found that I did very very well. I even called up and offered to give it back.
He said I didn't buy it to resell and didn't under cut him deliberately but if I did sell it we'd split it.
I still have it, will never part with it.

Nice! I had a TP22 quite a few years back, but don't miss it as much as the TPH I had then.

Those Mannlicher stocked Rugers are pretty guns.

I feel the same way about a 10/22 a Marine Corps buddy gave me years back.

I'm really enjoying this thread. Lots of great, fun guns being shown and talked about.

Agree on the TPH. They are sweet, refined, svelte and so sexy... in a manly sort way. The TP is OK but the TPH is just right.

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I've been thinking... hunting through my photo album for certain guns and seeing some I've not used in a while, I decided I'd post one more. This is a base AR, a DPMS Oracle. Whereas it shoots quite well, the low price, compared to some ARs, puts it in the plinker category. At this price it was sans an optic or sight period and with only one mag, but did come with a beautifully constructed cardboard box, I give you my $479 AR15.

                        Optic added for photo.

It has provided lots of fun time. Worked every round attempted. Hits close to what I aim for, (when my sight isn't loose).

Yes sir, my TPH was stainless as well. I wouldn't mind picking uo another...maybe a blued one or go larger with a blued PP in .22LR

That looks good, I considered an Oracle when looking for another AR, but didn't find many detailed real life photos of them at that time.

Damn! And a lovely masterpiece it is too. I seen one at our gunshow a couple months back. I near ejected from me chair when I saw the price. I don't even recall what it was now, I think I had sticker shock amnesia or something. I don't think he wanted to sell it very bad.
Don't believe it was quite as nice as your neither. Nice but not perfect.

I inherited a nice K22 from my dad when he passed a few years ago. I'm not much of a revolver guy so I sent it on to my son. Beautiful piece of art IMHO. I recall when my dad bought it about 10 years ago. He was very pleased.
