They need to get a nationwide carry law passed. If we have a permit in our state, we're good in all 50.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

To get a nationwide carry law passed it would have to be done by the feds. As they always do they could tack few other "common sense" regulations on the bill.

Reagan freed half of the people of Europe from a communist dictatorship and brought down the Berlin wall. But his greatest success was in reminding Americans of who we are as a people. He rebuilt our military and succeeded in making America the sole super power in the world. Not a bad record for a B movie actor and one hell of a lot better record than that a certain Harvard Law School Graduate.

Overall, very pleased. However, here in NYS, Cuomo survived and will continue to damage our gun rights here. Just watch out folks....if he runs for president down the road. He is as anti gun as they come.

While in office, and before, Reagan himself was pretty good on gun rights. He went squishy when he was out of office. I think it was patly because he and Nancy were close to Brady and his wife, partly increasing dementia and the influence of Nancy.

Reagan's best contribution to gun rights is that he appointed Scalia and Kennedy to the Supreme Court. Scalia is a rock. He's the author of Heller v District of Columbia, the seminal case upholding the right to bear arms for individual self defense and Kennedy was with him. Scalia and Kennedy were also in the majority in McDonald v Chicago which applied the Heller case and the 2nd Amendment to the States. Those are the 2 crucial cases, with only 5-4 majorities.

So, on balance, a GREAT president for gun rights.

They spend so much on campaign for a $175K/year job because everyone leaves congress a multi millionaire. With their ability to access insider trading information, and make laws they know will send certain stocks skyrocketing and others to the dumpster, they play the stock market. Then you have the lobbyists filling their pockets with money. And usually most of the money they spend are campaign contributions, and not so much from their own finances. Nancy Pelosi was the queen of insider trading, she made millions getting laws passed to increase her husbands profits, and playing the stock market with her insider knowledge. Any stock broker would be sent to prison for what they do as routine business investments.

Oh, Mr. Conservative has some fumny videos of the Dems making excuses, and dismissing the turnover of the senate as NOT a mandate from the people. Matt Lauer even attempted to tell the Republicans what they need to do now, and how they need to cozy up to Obummer.

One thing I ran across said that every new Republican voted into congress campaigned on repealing Obamacare. I say repeal Obamacare, then impeach the bastard.

The huge problem here is that which the "G" gives they can take away. Leave it to a states rights issue.

I'm having a great time watching videos and reading on the liberals take on the election, and their grasping at anything that advanced the liberall cause. Rachel Maddow had a video titled "Liberal ideas win big in state elections", but all she could bring up was raising the minimum wage in a couple of states, and legalizing marijuana use in some states and in D.C. They are searching for signs of advancement of liberal ideas. It's pretty damn obvious that Obama and his ideas were rejected, yet they are going on about some 2/3'ds of the voters staying home, and OH, this was a good one, Chris Matthews thinks we need to license voters all of a sudden, to make sure they are smart enough or some crap, more likely LIBERAL enough that they get to vote. And Obama refuses to acknowledge that his unpopularity had anything to do with the election results. Idiot. I got a big kick out of Rand Paul's "Hillary Losers" page, where the site posted photos of all the candidates that Hillary campaigned for that got defeated. I think he sent those out as "tweets" and someone collected them and put them on a web page. But is was definitely a slap down of Hillary.
Funny how the Libtards at MSNBC live in a different reality than the rest of us. They have plenty of excuses, much of it involves the low turnout of the liberal base. And that it's really not a rejection of Obama, but just that the wrong people voted. I think many Democrats stayed home, because they didn't support their candidates, but didn't want to vote for a Republican.

On election night Juan Williams of Fox News didn't want to recognize it as a wave election for the Republicans. I had to agree with him. It wasn't a wave. It was a tsunami.

yes, both sides of the aisle know that Obi-Kenobe-Bama inherited George Bush's collapsing economy and corrupt Wall Street and Big Oil problems.
I regretted supporting Bush again the second time around - his dad was far superior in every way.
The accomplishments of the current govt. as listed in my original email are factual, and neither party can deny them.... just twist them around a little to suit their spiel.

The sad fact is that our McCain didn't make it the first time Obi got in; and in the next round, too many Repubs were worried about Mormonism - which is why Obi got in a second term.
We need a great candidate for 2016.
