  • What will you do when they outlaw guns?

I saw The Hunger Games yesterday, about a post revolutionary America, where the elite live in a beautiful city and want for nothing, while the rest of the people are confined to districts, such a mining districts, farming districts, etc. and barely eke out a living, and it has got me thinking about what would happen when they outlaw guns. I wouldn't leave comments if you are planning on not turning them in them as IP addresses can be traced.

Since that dreadful flood and the loss of my treasured firearms collection I found myself. I've discovered that I'm more into love, peace an harmony. I now live for group hugs rather than reloading, meaningful conversation rather than dangerously loud noises.
Since I've discovered my true self I no longer miss those evil hunks of metal that use to have sole control over my very life and happiness.

With plenty of meaningful group hugs and bodacious quantities of scotch I hardly notice they are gone.

I hear ya. I went boating last weekend and we capsized. While all of my guns were lost, nobody was hurt. Oh well, I guess I will have more time for gardening now.

I think we would end up becoming The Republic of Texas down here. No one I know would just give them up without a fight.

True, it was a movie, but with with certain things happening in the governement, can't you see the day is coming, ever so slowly for now, but one Supreme Court Justice could change all that.

Not really. It will take a whole lot more than one seat on the SCOTUS to get us into that quagmire, a lot more. That would be one step of millions it would take. IMHO.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who had a terrible tragedy befall them. Who knew that guns couldn't swim?

One minute I am "flying" on the bow and the next I am swimming for my life.
All my treasured possessions were gone. 2 miles deep. So sad.

I live in the high desert and except for flash floods I'm pretty safe from Bawanna's misfortune.
I have had a boating accident though, on the Snake River, during spring run off and every gun I owned was lost.

Actually I have thought about this (outlawed guns) and I now live where we have many areas remote enough where no one would hear a gun shot.
Even with that, I don't see shooting to be fun or even a hobby, maybe just a means of survival, in that world.

It'll probably go the way of smoking, incrementally, tax, tax, tax, not here, not there, not at work, not near children, not in the car, not at home, even more tax, to an area remote enough no one will see/smell.
                            just sayin'
I apologize if my post contains the same or similar information as someone who has posted before me.

Sounds to me like you folks need to take some boating safety course.
