    Hello from INGO

    Here's what I posted there...

You seem to have some extra flashing but I see no horrible wear...

Here's the same areas on my Wife's CM9, 370 rounds no wear, just fuzz and some stray powder and dirt I missed cleaning...

I'll try to get pictures up later, but my CM9 looked similar out of the box. Not as "bad" as your's but I found multiple a few loose shavings - like large tags just hanging on. I also noticed a lot of tiny burrs sticking out of various places - most of which has flaked off from shooting- I pulled some off myself with exacto/tweezers. The frame actually looks better now after 200 rounds. I have to say (and this might get me flamed) but compared to my Glock 19 polymer frame - my CM9 frame looks like crap. I also have New Frontier polymer lower (AR15) and it looks way better.

Does it shoot well? - Yes I believe so. I still need to get used to holding the little guy properly, but no failures to speak of. So I'm hoping/believing these are just cosmetic and won't affect the functioning later down the road.

I'm wondering if this is a CM line only deal. Maybe Kahr -instead of tossing the imperfect frames, just call them a CM and only the pretty ones go PM? I say this too because of another frame related issue I had: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=22658

My CW45 has a couple thousand rounds downrange and looks basically just like the day a I bought it.

A quick thought about the forward end of the "poly rails":
it's quite possible to cause wear/damage in that area when installing or removing the top end, perhaps more likely so (IMO) than through actual operation of the pistol.

Re: Kahr polymer... how is yours holding up?

Welcome to Kahrtalk Root. I'm also on the IN gun owner forum (from Indy).

My CM9 has about 400 rounds down the pipe with very little wear to the frame. Its been a great little gun. Its my main EDC.

Keep us updated when you hear from Kahr.

10-4 on what u said. Most real damage is user fokk up. When u see some slight slivers, on thge frame at the git go, the slide action will soon take care of any high sports in that area and after a few hundred rounds it will all smooth out. OR u can take some very fine 600+ grit paper and just polsih those area. The slide doesnt ride on the polymer frame what so ever, those rasils are ther eto help u guide on the slide and of course if you force aything the steel slide is gonna cut polymer every time. I can tell u I have had my slide off my PMJ9 about 300+ times and there is not a wear mark or groovbe in the polymer frame anywhere. Any high spots in those rails the slide action just took care of it also.

                Gregg is dead right.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

HAHA! Great. I'm on the opposite side of the state... any further south and you're in Kentucky. Hell, I can see them hillbillies from my back yard! We shout across the river to each other!

I'll be at the NRA show too... Look for me at the bar.

EDIT: I've got family in KY so I can call them hillbillys! Haha.

The tiny white things are dust but you can see where I highlighted in red where the questionable stuff is. Again, this is what it looked like pretty much out of the box. It actually looks better now after 200 rounds.

Should I be concerned also? Or is this just cosmetic stuff?

Still haven't heard back from. I emailed them again and linked to this thread and my local gun forum thread so that they can see the opinions of others, as well as gave the serial so they can check to see if others have reported the same thing from the same batch. I do appreciate everyone taking the time to comment and share your opinions.

I hope this can be resolved soon. I don't expect a weekend response so will call them Monday. I chose the Kahr because of it's size and previous reputation, ideally I'd like to stick with them but depending on how this is handled I may seek other options too. I really liked the Shield, already have a S&W that I LOVE (as well as S&W vintage signs hanging in my house...)... so, I may seek a Shield later. I don't know. The Kahr is more practical for what I want, it's smaller and easily more concealable and not everyone and their brother has one like a Glock or Shield or XDS...

Anyhow, hoping to be able to put some rounds through it this weekend anyway. I love the feel and function of it. Just not overly convinced it won't look worse after 500+ rounds. Curious to see what another 100+ will do first.

All I see on Chilltown's pictures is mold lines and flashing on what are non-contact, non-wearing surfaces.

Look back at GEARHEAD ENG's picture to see the same mold lines and flashing in the same spots.
