Well, tomorrow I am going to put more rounds through it so will report back and inspect the polymer then too to see if it worsens.

For fun, here is what has gone through the gun so far:

      CM9 round count

      # | Brand | Grain
      50 Winchester 115gr
      45 Federal 115gr
      7 Hornady 124gr
(102 total, I know my previous count was wrong)

Tomorrow I am running another 6+1 mag of my carry ammo (Hornady), an entire 50rd box of American Eagle 124gr and then probably a 100 round box of Federal, 115gr.

That'll put her beyond the 'break in' period Kahr recommends and will hopefully give me a better idea of if I can expect the frame to get worse or not.

Just an update: I've still not heard back from Kahr. I emailed CS over two weeks ago. I did send them one additional email follow up quoting my original, but I also added my serial number and phone number where they could reach me (but requested correspondence be done via email).

        Still no word back.

Sorry to hear that. Hang in there, hopefully your issue will be resolved soon.

Root, you are not the only one with a bad looking new kahr. I have a new pm9 and after 50 rounds it had awful looking polymer. It looked like a poor quality product out of the box. I cleaned it before firing and noticed the rough edges. Looked like someone finished the polymer cutouts and edges with a steak knife. After 50 rounds the rear polymer below the slide was bulging. Sent it in for repair and after 8 weeks it came back. Some rough spots appear a better, like they used something to melt it. They fixed the bulge too. No problem after 50 more rounds but the polymer frame still looks bad with jaggy rough spots. Very poor quality for what I thought was a quality gun. And this is my 3rd poly gun from various manufacturers, and never seen such poor workmanship in manhfacturing before.

I've been trying to get a hold of Kahr myself. Check out the deformations on my p380 at the guide rod seat.

I sent them another email yesterday, this time using a form on their website instead of emailing service@kahr.com direct (which was on another page of their site).

I think my original email was sent on the 12th of February. I noticed that when I sent them a message from the form on the website it said it sent to sales@kahr.com instead. Hopefully their sales department is more eager to respond and will get someone from Customer Service to check my previous email.

My next step would be to call Kahr's Administration department.
There is an option for that when you call.

When I got their attention about my problem it was by calling them at(508) 795-3919.

Fasteddie, that's a nasty piece of polymer hanging there. I did not have that issue but that area was very rough an and chewed up looking on mine.

I got a hold of Kahr CS. They gave me an RMA, but wouldn't send me a shipping label.

I got an RMA today. It included some 'return label for the shipment', but I have no idea what to do now.

I have no FedEx store within 50 miles of me. I don't drive, I can't get to one without extreme an amount of effort.

I thought my LGS would send it back to them, I thought they -had- to... So what's this about? What am I supposed to do with a digital label? Isn't it illegal for me to ship it straight to Kahr since it's passing through several states? I thought the labels people were talking about was something to give to the LGS so they can ship it back to the manufacturer without the LGS charging them for the transfer.

I'm confused. I'd email Kahr back but don't wanna wait for another response.

With my issue in 2011 Fed X came to my house & picked up the gun. All I had to do was package the gun. I had it packaged in the box it came in at my local independent mailing store with a note of my problem inside. I told them I didn't have a computer so they did it the way I described. Fed X also brought it back to me when completed. The crappy gun stores womt help you maybe you bought it from a good one. Once I find out they are crappy I never spend anymore money there.

Well, I'm pretty pissed that it just cost me $75 to ship the gun back to Kahr. I asked them for a shipping label and they said no, despite the fact that they're obviously paying for the shipping for other people.

Fast Eddie was your gun malfunctioning? The guide rod actually rests above the barrel lug if gun is upside down like for reassembly on a little line on a flat spot. Did you try to just knock off that piece of plastic.
