well as i said my gun came back .
turn- around was 10 days.
it appears, from what i can tell, that they cut off a few coils of spring from original and polished/rounded of the edge of the recoil assy. the part that comes through the hole after pulling slide about 1" they filed the sharp edge away and polished it up giving it a nice bevel .
well i took the gun out today and ran 100 rds, through it with zero , "0" malfunctions(quickly knocks on wood)
i took it apart, cleaned it, and ran 4 more clips through it with zero malfunctions.
seems to be working as designed.

find more coils on the 20.5# springs. I have the 20.5 on my PM9 and have had for the past couple of years, with zero issues. So if your recoil spring has an extra coil, just dont worry about it, as it won't hinder one thing. Why these factory kahr springs sometimes show one coil more than others could possable be sometimes the way the coil springs are wound. Put it in the gun and just shoot it like you stole it. I would just be very surpirsed to hear of kahr cutting a spring as wolffs makes all of kahrs springs
