I bought a Seagate 2TB Goflex HD and upgraded it to USB 3.0 for automatic backups, but something was scewed up in the software and the danged thing filled up and then would halt the computer... for long times. I finally unplugged it and went without backups. THAT replaced my Acronis software and backups... some to DVD, too.

Now everyone uses Acronis software. I think this 1TB drive only used about 400GB.

I got my BS in EE in 1964. At that time computers were hardly a blip on the scene, so all my computer education was self taught later. I formed a company in 1990 and started building systems for friends and then for anyone with the money to buy one. The company still exist, but with computer so cheap now, I can't make any money building them, except for a high line gaming system occasionally.

Well, the Braves lost tonight. Saw Chipper Jones play for the last time. Got a hit in his last at bat. Played great all season. A true all star and the greatest Brave of all time. I hope we'll see him become a great manager of the likes of Bobby Cox. And, of course, managing the Braves!

I moved to Atlanta in 1990, and the Braves went worst to first the following year. I have been a Braves fan ever since, and I have witnessed the entire career of Chipper Jones. Great player. Great team. Lots of great baseball. I was working for Georgia-Pacific Corp., and every now and then my boss would get the entire team tickets to enjoy a Braves game from one of G-P's luxury suites with air conditioning, private restroom, catered food and drinks. Now, that is the way to enjoy a baseball game!
            Very interesting...

I've been here since 1973. Sad, but Chipper had a great career, all with the braves. I think I could name every player on the 1991 team, but other than Chipper, I couldn't name another one from this year. You're right about the suites. I think every game I've seen in the last ten years was from the WSB suite.

I sure do! I was the disaster preparedness manager for Pacific Bell in all of the Central Valley. I had strict orders to carry that sucker everywhere I went and my company car had a half dozen radios. It was simply embarrassing to lug that stuff around.

The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
