That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
    --Thomas Jefferson (1764).

Be sure to wear your helmet and life jacket, well you don't have to wear the life jacket when your biking but might not hurt there neither.

Have a good time, you got internet access too.

This sounds like a really good place.

I'd ask how much for the little girl but I don't want to start a bidding war!
Yeah we love coming to Ohiopyle PA and usually try to do a week here every year. I am not real thrilled with my site this year but its better than being at the office right. As far as my daughter I have had a few moments I would have given her to you lol!

Give her a few years and you'll want to kill every boy that comes to the door.
Been there done that. Run off all but one with great success until the last. Married him and she said not to kill him. But he knows I still have the power and the will and the desire.

You'll get over those give away moments in short order.

PA native. Never hear of Ohiopyle before. Researched it a bit. Seems really nice. I'm going to be passing through Washington late this month on return home from a couple week road trip. Think maybe I'll drop down and stumble around a bit on the way just to see, as a possible future vacation thingy.

          • In the spirit of Happy, Positive Good Stuff, wife had stuff to do today without me, so I fired off about 200 rounds at the range and then got to smell Hoppes #9. Both CW40s are nearing 1,000 rounds each and get smoother every outing. I'm positive I'm happy.

            • Went to the cardiologist yesterday. He says I'm doing well. No changes in the meds as they seem to be working OK. Don't need to see him again until November . He also said I could start riding my bicycle if I didn't overdo it.

For some reason, I'm keeping quiet on the shooting part of my life to any doctor. Paranoid? Maybe. I'm going to try and go shoot one or more of the 22s next week.

"How much for the little girl" - sick but for some strange reason, had the same thought.

              • My dad had a total knee replacement on Tuesday. He's great today and coming home in the morning once all the docs sign off. Truly a miracle.

                • My today's very happy thought.....
Cabella's has moved into the Denver area. Two stores here opening Aug 15th.. One about four easy miles from our house. No more road trippin' to Nebraska for in person shopping!

My happy thought today involved drooling over a very cherry Colt 1903. Timeless classic beauty. Yes, it's a dinky .32 and yes, I'd still like to own it!

                    • Any day fondling a 1903 is a happy day.

I hate to admit it but sometimes I visit another forum. Ok almost everyday but it's a knife forum so it's still manly not that there's anything wrong with being womanly. In fact some times I've wanted to be a woman but that's a subject for another day.

Anyhow I must have pleased someone actually more than one someone as everything I seem to touch on it turns to something good. I won a sword, owner gifted me a huge very nice Kuhkri, one thing after another.

                      Well Friday I received this.

It's called a Mini AK Bowie. And she's sweet, very tough, 3/8" thick at the handle.

                      10" long.

Another member did some stuff for the owner of Himilayan Imports and she sent him this knife. He didn't feel like he would use it and knew that I was wanting one badly so a karma gift, no wife beating for a new knife and another guy I owe but who refused any trade, payment or favors but instead insisted on pay it forward. My kind of guy.

So tickled I just had to share my good fortune.

                      • Great day for you Mr. B! My good news is today is better than yesterday. No JB but a little Hank and all was well again. I swear Hank could make a dying man feel better off than Hank.

Now that there is a really, really nice knife!

                          Would advise against Mexican carry.

                            • That sure is a beaut of a knife there Uncle Bawann!!!.....I also see Aunt Bawanna still has her special place on your workbench you lucky dog....My hopefully good news for the day is that my 29 year old nephew hurt his knee about three weeks ago and thought it would get better but when it didn't he went to the Dr. who did an X-ray and it showed a large mass growing so he sent him to an Oncologist who confirmed it was cancer and that he also had two small spots in his lungs but they are hopeful they caught it in time and he starts chemo therapy today....If he hadn't of hurt his knee he might of never had any reason to go to the doctor so in a way he was very lucky that happened so perhaps now they can knock it out with the chemo....If ya'll wouldn't mind sending up a prayer for Jeremy we would appreciate it greatly.....Thanks

                              • Prayers up for sure. A large mass in the knee, never heard of that but whatever, sounds like that knee injury was a blessing in disguise.
