    +1
This is my fear as well.
Trump is self funded and not really controlled by the Republicans.
IMHO - Both parties want candidates they can control.

And it's not a democratic win that concerns me so.
It's the Clintons back in the white house.

I totally agree with you, Rev.Ray. The woman explains her positions cogently and leaves no doubt that she's rock solid conservative.

Well Carli Fiorina and Ted Cruz gained in the polls and Trump is about the same. If he could learn to keep his mouth shut, he'd be leading by a landslide.

Here's a post debate Fiorina exchange with Chris Matthews. The woman can REALLY handle herself.

Love it. Bet Chris didn't get a shiver down his leg after that interview. Shiver down his spine maybe (if he actually has one).

              Debate 2

Hopefully tonight will be as interesting as the first debate. I hope they concentrate on issues and solutions rather than insults.

Donald Trump is a New York liberal democrat and conservative come lately. He's a narcissistic, crude, a-hole with zero military experience. He doesn't even know who the main players in the middle east are. He's long on promises just like the current a-hole who occupies the White House. He's a spoiler and has no presidential bearing what-so-ever. It wasn't that long ago that Trump supported abortion on demand and partial birth abortion. He also supported the ban on assault weapons. You people need to research this a-hole. Your being dazzled by the flash without looking into the details.

I notice a pattern to Trump's speeches. He sounds all gung-ho 'Murka, but then all he says is he'll make the military so strong no one will mess with us. He'll make a deal so good it'll make your head spin. He's starting to sound like a fairy tale bedtime story for a 5 year old. And I know, I've read plenty of those to our two kids.

What happened to Ted Cruz? Has he been on vacation since the first debate?

So Muggs, how do you really feel about "The Donald"..........I gotta agree with you and am a little shocked that so many have jumped on his wagon....I'm thinking either a Ted Cruz/Carly Fiorina or Rubio/Fiorina ticket would work to get an intelligent conservative administration back in office....I think the reason so many Republicans are hooking up to Trump is not so much that they like him but that they are hacked off at how John O'Boehner and his crowd has let Obummer run free and wild and get anything he wants done without any sort of fight from the right....

Even though I'm as angry at the current Congress for doing next to nothing as anybody, I'm not so mad that I would vote for a loose cannon like Donald Trump and let him have his hand on the red launch button.....I respect what he has done in business but I don't believe he is what we need as POTUS

Trump is inspiring, it has nothing to do with any other politicians. But he's proving to be empty, just rhetoric. I have no reason to suspect he's a muslim communist on the inside, like 0puke, or a Chicago mafia communist like Hillary, so we may still be better off with The Donald than with The Godmother, or The Commie (Bernie Sanders).

Corporate speech by Carly Fiorina, 2001:

                          Final paragraphs

There was once a civilization that was the greatest in the world. It was able to create a continental super-state that stretched from ocean to ocean, and from northern climes to tropics and deserts. Within its dominion lived hundreds of millions of people, of different creeds and ethnic origins.

One of its languages became the universal language of much of the world, the bridge between the peoples of a hundred lands. Its armies were made up of people of many nationalities, and its military protection allowed a degree of peace and prosperity that had never been known. The reach of this civilization’s commerce extended from Latin America to China, and everywhere in between.

And this civilization was driven more than anything, by invention. Its architects designed buildings that defied gravity. Its mathematicians created the algebra and algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption. Its doctors examined the human body, and found new cures for disease. Its astronomers looked into the heavens, named the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration.

Its writers created thousands of stories. Stories of courage, romance and magic. Its poets wrote of love, when others before them were too steeped in fear to think of such things.
When other nations were afraid of ideas, this civilization thrived on them, and kept them alive. When censors threatened to wipe out knowledge from past civilizations, this civilization kept the knowledge alive, and passed it on to others.

While modern Western civilization shares many of these traits, the civilization I’m talking about was the Islamic world from the year 800 to 1600, which included the Ottoman Empire and the courts of Baghdad, Damascus and Cairo, and enlightened rulers like Suleiman the Magnificent.

Although we are often unaware of our indebtedness to this other civilization, its gifts are very much a part of our heritage. The technology industry would not exist without the contributions of Arab mathematicians. Sufi poet-philosophers like Rumi challenged our notions of self and truth. Leaders like Suleiman contributed to our notions of tolerance and civic leadership.

And perhaps we can learn a lesson from his example: It was leadership based on meritocracy, not inheritance. It was leadership that harnessed the full capabilities of a very diverse population–that included Christianity, Islamic, and Jewish traditions.

This kind of enlightened leadership — leadership that nurtured culture, sustainability, diversity and courage — led to 800 years of invention and prosperity.

In dark and serious times like this, we must affirm our commitment to building societies and institutions that aspire to this kind of greatness. More than ever, we must focus on the importance of leadership– bold acts of leadership and decidedly personal acts of leadership.

I still believe that the worst Republican is better than any Democrat. And, yes, Trump qualifies as a Republican if just barely. What we need is someone who can rally the low information voters and get them to vote Conservative instead of for more free (Democrat/Socialist) stuff. That may just be Trump. And we need someone to get the "I'm mad at my Republican party so I'm not gonna vote for anybody" Conservatives off their couches. I'm not sure who that is: Ted Cruz maybe? It is a popularity contest IMHO. I will not be watching the debate live but I will be streaming it later. This is important.

Yes, yes yes. Listen to this, people. I have followed Trump for a long time. Not all that long ago he was a libtard from the bottom up. I guess we can all change how we see things but the timing is a little odd. If you look closely it is a bit suspicious. For sure he is a blowhard, a tyrant and a bully. This can be just fine if he is going our way. When he changes his mind again he will be our biggest nightmare. He could give Obama lessons in dirty politics and tyranny. How many people got to be self made billionaires by being honest and straight forward? He may be the best thing since factory sliced bread. Just be careful and do a little research on this cat. Anybody remember the "Trojan Horse"? Think about it.

This election shouldn't be a popularity contest. The future of our country is at stake.
