NIce. Now if it were Cerakoted it would be what I 'shootin' for.

Here are my 3 Kahrs. The CW380 is stock with the exception of the grip tape. The K9 was my first Kahr and is around 20 years old. I coated the slide on that gun with KG Guncoat black chrome. The TP9 is my newest Kahr and has been adopted as my primary carry weapon. I Cerakoted the slide in Sniper Greg and installed a set of Trijicon night sights. None of the pistols have been touched internally as I haven't needed to. All 3 have been completely reliable since day one

Thank you for the positive comments. I had some time to spare, so I broke out the files. To be honest, after the first couple pulls I was worried I made a mistake. But using a double cut file took most of the meat off in about 10 minutes. It's not too bad since the lines are pretty straight to start with. Just have to do to one side as you do to the other to keep it symmetrical. I then used a single cut file to smooth it out and finish the shaping. Using 200 grit and working up to 400 grit to polish it up. Finally I used an old towel and some flitz to clean up the metal. It still has a little bit of a brushed steel look, as I didn't want mirror finish. All in all it took about an hour and a half and came out pretty slick, I'm happy with the results.
Later on I may decide to cerakote the slide, because I've seen some really nice samples on here. What are some good color recommendations?

The melt job looks awesome!Originally posted by money mike View PostBefore and after shots. I melted the slide to remove all sharp edges. The outer edges of the rear sight were also rounded out. I also increased the angle of the beavertail to allow a higher hold. For my hands this helped the pistol feel less top heavy. The pinky extension is only for range mags and is from a Keltec PF9 mag. I also eventually want to get a replacement front sight, as the plastic one sucks. Any recommendations?

As for a front night sight I replaced my factory sight on my CM9 with one from Dawson Precision after I got my slide back from getting Cerakoted. Very happy with it!
