    Kahr makes some black replacement mag bases. Got one for my P9 Covert and it looks great.

      Your Kahr modifications

      So as much as I love my CW45 I haven't really carried or shot it much since I got my LC9.
      9mm is so much cheaper to blow at the range.
      I tried trading my CW45 a few times with no bites. So I decided I'll make it more concealable, since my cuz likes to try and spot me printing. He's noticed every time I was wearing the CW.
      I had a Houge grip cover that I like but wanted to go with the slimmer grip profile. So I started out by smoothing the left corner edges of the front and back of grip (I carry on my right). Since it was like a cheese grater on my love handle.
      I also always had a crazy idea of bobbing the handle like on the 1911s, so Ef'it I did it!
      I took a angle grinder to the butt if the grip and then used JB weld as a filler.
      Then smoothed it all out. I used some grip tape over it right now but plan of spraying some bedliner over the grey JB weld.

      It disappears on my side now and it's pretty comfortable in the hand.
      I still need to get some fine sand paper and finish smoothing out stuff.

          No. I didn't cut it for nothing. I didn't cut it just cause he saw it either.
          I feel that it carries more comfortable and I like tinkering with stuff.
          I'm happy!

              If it now fits the way you like it, then I like it! Of course I pretty much improve/modify most everything that I own.

                Thanks!
                It was something that was itching me that I wanted to try.
                I was tempted on cuttin the grip shorted to the p series mag but I figured I would try this first, and I'm loving it so far!!
                I really like the idea of a sub compact grip and a compact barrel length.
                But I think I'm sticking with this!

                  Your Kahr modifications

                  I did a couple mods on my CM9:
                  * Cerakoted slide
                  * Grip texture removal & stipple
                  * Trigger undercut
                  * Installed night sights

                  I did the trigger undercut and stippling before installing the Crimson trace so I was worried that the laser wouldn't fit on the frame due to the mods, but it fit fine. The cerakote did make the pistol tolerances even tighter but had no issues whatsoever.

                  Other than the mag baseplate gap I'm really happy with how this gun shoots and feels. Have not had one single failure in over 700 rounds and the thing is accurate for the size.

                    ^^^ nice looking there M&M. I particularly like the gray cerakote vs. black. You're a pretty good stippler too. Although I admit I prefer the factory grips. Kahrs are thin for my hands so I can use all the grip I can get.

                      Thank you! And I agree, the factory grip texture wasn't bad. I think stippling is an acquired taste.

                        No pictures for me but since I use mine as a backup duty gun, and an off-duty carry gun, I did reliability based stuff.

                        1) Removed the inner-slide stop nub. Yes, it doesn't lock back on empty, but I have absolutely no concerns with premature slide stoppage.
                        2) Rampectomy, via Kahr Arms.
                        3) Loctite recoil spring nut.
                        4) Smooth magazine lips

                        What I'm left with is a gun that has over 1300 rounds without a single failure, no more broken followers, and is accurate to boot.

                          Me too and that's why I have a P9 Covert. Took a hacksaw to my P9 and it worked out really well and shoot great with that longer sight radius.

                            Before and after shots. I melted the slide to remove all sharp edges. The outer edges of the rear sight were also rounded out. I also increased the angle of the beavertail to allow a higher hold. For my hands this helped the pistol feel less top heavy. The pinky extension is only for range mags and is from a Keltec PF9 mag. I also eventually want to get a replacement front sight, as the plastic one sucks. Any recommendations?

                              Well done! I like the "melt" job. Front site, don't know what to say.

                                You could sell the melt job service. Nice work.
