And again, if he would have did what the dispatcher told him, we wouldn't be having this conversation!! So that makes him responsible for his own death. We all have heard the 911 call he made. The dispatcher CLEARLY stated that he didn't need to follow him!!

Now if he told the dispatcher this guy is attempting to kill someone, then react to save that person(s). But at time time all he was doing was walking around.

Here in PA, under the CASTLE DOCTRINE, if you are in your own home, yard, or anywhere you are legally permitted to be, you don't have to "go hide in a closet" as they say. You have every right to defend yourself. I was always curious as to where the go hide in the closet thing came about, being I don't recall seeing anything like that on the books..

If If IF. If Z didn't go out that night to buy sandwich fix'ns this would have never happened. C'mon, since when is following someone a crime or an action that requires a beat down for doing it. Why isn't anyone saying if T would have continued on his way to his fathers home since he had no reason not to, this would never have happened. Both are guilty of being jackholes but one guy is dead and we need to find out if the other guy is guilty of 2nd degree murder. IMHO the prosecution has not proved this beyond a reasonable doubt. I'll ask again: Can anyone put facts together from this trial that shows otherwise? So far, I don't see anyone putting all the facts together that point to a conviction. Now my second question. When aquitted, does he automatically face civil suit or is the law different in FL?

The needle on my ugly meter is twitching back and forth here. We're all entitled to our opinions which at this point is all they are and most likely all they ever will be. I would truly hate to have my life in the hands of a jury.

My feeling is if we hide in the closet, stay in the car, (point of note) dispatcher said he did not have to follow, she did not say he shouldn't or to stop. Also dispatcher (with all due respect, they have a tough job) is a secretary with a radio and head phones. If they tell you to jump out of the 37th floor window cause the building is on fire, you might want to weigh your options and think for yourself.

But back to the point, if we hide, we flee the house because of a burglar, don't get out of the car etc etc etc the bad guys are going to rule the world. They already do in reality.

Needs to be a little tough love for gang bangers that walk the street and bust car windows and raise hell just cause they are gang bangers.

You don't think saying the blacks will riot isn't personal or sterotypical?? There are bad people in all walks of life, no matter what color they are. I've dealt with it first hand. I know that I'm relatively new here, but come on. Some of these comments are not necessary. Again I joined this forum for help and the reply's were great.

Trust me I know there are bad people of all colors in all walks of life, I do not question that at all.
There's a fine line between making racist comments or being sterotypical and just speaking the truth.
In the length of this thread we've not dwelled on the color of the participants and to me that isn't the issue.
If history repeats itself and if Al and Jesse's dream come true there will be rioting.

When I say stay civil and not get personal I'm referring to here in our little oasis amongst ourselves. No name calling because another member doesn't agree with your stance.

If you need help with gun stuff there's plenty of smart guys here to help, that's what this forum does best, it's this media circus stuff that seems to drag us down.

I would hope that anyone with any compassion would not want this to happen, as good people from all walks will be affected by it. People lose lives, property, stability. So I for one won't be placing bets on it happening!!

I agree. The members here have been great with my issues, and KAHR did one hell of a job correcting them. That was my reason for joining this forum. And my point was again not ALL of us are going to riot!!

We can certainly hope for the best and that of course would be a peaceful outcome regardless of the results which are already quite obvious to me.
I'm a long way from Florida so I won't be going down to participate one way or the other.

I'm moving this thread to politics, a new area we put stuff that most member really don't want to look at. I think this now officially qualifies.
