    • broken highg speed hole punch wored every time UPS asked me what I was sending. They very seldome ever asked me though.I find if u send agunin a smallgun looking box it attracts maybe questions but put it in a 12 x 12 x 12 box and ur good to go. Been doin it for years
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Just don't tell them the diameter of the holes. It might raise an eyebrow.

          PM sent...
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
          "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
          "more stuff than you are"

You can fit a horse's head in a box that size too. Just sayin'.

              • Well boys and girls I spent the weekend whittling out MK9 grips, I use the plural terminology rather weakly since I really only netted one set.

Started off pretty good, on set one.

Wanted a set with a little more grain pattern so went to a different spot on the board and went for set # 2.

Pretty similar, went well, got them fitting perfectly, looking good.
                Then catastrophe struck.

Cutter grabbed, got away from me trying to recess the screw head. Done it before, still breaks my heart. 4 hours down the commode.
Guess I at least have a nice set I can use for a template to set depths on the cutter in the future.

Did make one hell of a mess as usual too, make myself proud.

Oh well. Dinner bell just went off, time to strap on the feed bag.

                    • The first set looks awesome! I bet it would look great with skip line.

                          • Here is my most recent personal project gun. I picked up a mixed-parts, Israeli, Mk III Hi Power for a good price. Took it down and cleaned it up. It ended up being more work than I expected as someone had laid into the hammer strut pin with a jack hammer. A new pin from Midway arrived, and it is back together with a nice Cylinder and Slide drop-in hammer/sear kit. More important, it wears the most beautiful grips ever to grace an FN Hi Power. Many thanks to the Colonel! This will be a carry gun much of the time. I am hesitant as the grips are too pretty for that, but on the other hand they feel wonderful! I just have to put them to work.

                              • Will do! Without a doubt those grips are the most comfortable I have on any gun, hands down.
