The Old Italian Golfer

An 80-year-old Italian goes to the doctor for a checkup. The doctor is 
amazed at what good shape the guy is in and asks, ‘how do you stay in such great physical condition?’ 

I’m Italian and I am a golfer,’ says the old guy, ‘and that’s why I’m in 
such good shape. I’m up well before daylight and out golfing up and down the fairways. I have a glass of vino, and all is well.’ 

’Well’ says the doctor, ‘I’m sure that helps, but there’s got to be more to it. How old was your Father when he died?’ 

’Who said my Father’s dead?’ 

The doctor is amazed. ‘You mean you’re 80 years old and your Father’s still alive. How old is he?’

‘He’s 100 years old,’ says the Old Italian golfer.’ In fact he golfed with
 me this morning. Then we went to the topless beach for a walk and had a little vino. That’s why he’s still alive. He’s Italian and he’s a golfer, too.’ 

’Well,’ the doctor says, ‘that’s great, but I’m sure there’s more to it than that. How about your Father’s Father? How old was he when he died?’



’Who said my Nono’s dead?’


Stunned, the doctor asks, ‘you mean you’re 80 years old and your
grandfather’s still living! Incredible, how old is he?’

‘He’s 118 years old,’ says the Old Italian golfer.

The doctor is getting frustrated at this point, ‘So, I guess he went golfing with you this morning too?’

‘No, Nono couldn’t go this morning because he’s getting married today.’

At this point the doctor is close to losing it.

‘Getting married! Why 
would a 118-year-old guy want to get married?’

‘Who said he wanted to?’ Just sayin

Improves my batting average immensely, I'm up to 3 for 37 I think now. Cool!

Was that your favorite of the two sets I sent you or just the first set you screwed on?

very nice work colonel. almost as good as the t!tty pink cancer grips u did for my engrved J frame Model 60.
damn I loved those grips to. I will never take them out of that metqal sealed box thatI buried 60 feet under ground either.

+1 . . . Love the burl inlay. That ought to be your signature grip style.

Admittedly, all one grain on a grip is nice . . . but, this particular combination of woods is really a neat effect.

I sort of went into this one blind, wasn't sure how it was gonna turn out.
I guess I actually owe someone here, I'll have to go back and check. This is the set where I buggered up the mounting hole.
I just inlaid the burl to cover up the goof and recut the mounting hole and got it right the second time.

I was kind of pleased with how they came out.

That was a nice piece of wood but I can see doing this with plain grained wood to bring a little life to it.

I'm just overjoyed that they fit and Bonjorno likes em. A win/win for bawanna. Got another fella that needs to test drive a set to see if they fit his MK, right about now I'm feeling pretty lucky.

Yep! Rumor has it that is exactly how JMB invented the 1911. He was really trying for a Browning Hi-Power. But, his milling tool slipped and the rest is history.

yes sir! I looked at them and they caught my eye... once I put them on I knew they were the ones! Love at first sight! Other ones will be in the mail! Thank you Colonel you are the man!
