Not a chance that you could be off on this Jocko; this is the Internet, and if we read it here, the colonel is getting the goodies.

        • I stopped by Bawanna's last night and I noticed that the GA series grips fit the GC series, but the GC's don't fit the GA. Is this correct? We took the hogue wood grips that were on my GC series and put it on his GA series and they fit fine. We looked at both side by side and couldn't see any reason why grips made for a GA series wouldn't fit a GC series.

          • I hope your slightly wrong on that. My GA's need to fit your GC and vice versa or I wish I had not let you take your gun home. We never did try your grips on my GA but I still can. I'll try hanging your wood grips on mine before I start to make sure we're good.

I'm hoping that maybe the early GC's just didn't have the frame change that has been messing me up. I still haven't figured it out.

I sent a message to my stabilized wood guy and ordered your wood. Hopefully he'll be way more quicker than last time.
I'll work on the other set and modify your wood set in the mean time.

Wife is getting around much better this morning so I might have to go back to work tomorrow. Kind of mess's with my bench time but I did get to sleep all night cept for letting the dog in and out 4 times when she thumped me on the shoulder. Might get a doggie door.

That works too. Kind of keep the location of the man cave under your hat for the locals though. Loose lips sink man caves. I screwed that up didn't I?

We kind of focused on your grip desires and not so much on the man cave. Kind of a lot going on for both of us.

Just to mix things up and I haven't added anything new for awhile.

Looks pretty cool! Very unique wood grain on that set of handles. Definitely a work of art. How long did it take you to make those?

                      • Pretty easy, knife had chicago screws holding the original handles on. Probably a couple hours, maybe a bit more making the sheath fit properly so it clicks in and clicks out.

I'm working with a SOG employee who is also a dealer. I think I'm gonna be able to offer some knives to my friends here for a substantial discount.

He'll sell this knife with whatever you want engraved on it for 80 bucks. I think it's like 120 bucks on their website.. Haven't checked retailer prices, sometimes they are actually lower than manufacturer.

                        • Very nice grip handles as always.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

                          • Here's a set I just put in a box for nimdabew. He got the grips from the Kahr shop. I modified them a bit, relieved the mag release area a bit and took off some material up by the slide stop lever for better access and then checkered them in a skip line pattern.

Kahr did a nice job making them, good fit. Wish I could whittle them as fast and as nice and then just do the checkering and "Special Treatment". Fitting and shaping is a time killer.
